I currently am available to provide child care or adult care Sun - Thurs only. My current posting is an ongoing position caring for an 8-year-old on Friday and Saturday. I started with CARE as a regularly scheduled part-time sitter for a 4-year-old boy. We went to the park for playtime, then home for dinner, bath time and we read stories before bed. I have been blessed with working for many families since then. Toddlers are my favorite age group because watching them learn new things is so enriching. I love being able to provide parents with an evening out. After school pick up is another task I provide. Looking forward to finding a family to help.

Lorna babysat our toddler for us for a date night while we were were visiting town on vacation. She arrived early and brought books and crayons and developed trust with her right away and she had a great night.

Lorna is a gift and a blessing to our family!! We found Lorna when searching for a date night and occasional day babysitter for our 2 year old son. As soon as we interviewed her I knew she would be perfect. Lorna was playful with him and has a very kind, warm temperament. She always arrives on time and communicates well. She reaches out if there is any question, but also takes initiative when situations arise (2 year olds are unpredictable!). Every time we leave our son with him I can completely relax knowing he is taken care of and having fun. I cannot recommend her enough for your little one!

Lorna is the sweetest person you could ask for in a babysitter. She also abides by any house rules you might establish. She is kind, courteous, and punctual. She has been watching my son since his infancy, and she has always taken such good care of my kids. Instead of just plopping your kids in front of the TV, she plays games with them, reads to them, and engages with them. 

She's also a big dog lover and she's stayed and cared for my dog at our house while we've been out of town. I trust her implicitly. She is a tender, kindhearted person who wouldn't hurt a fly. She's even cared for my elderly dad when he was having medical issues and needed help with his care. She has even babysat for multiple children (upwards of 6 kids!) so my friends and I could go on double dates :). She has made being a mom so much more bearable. I trust her implicitly, and anyone would be lucky to have her as their babysitter, nanny, dog-sitter, or caregiver.

Lorna was such a natural with the boys! They both took to her warm smile right away. She made us feel really at ease and had great communication. We have a 1 yr old and 3 yr old. 

Lorna provides exceptional care for my dad and Uncle, ages 94 and 96. She is caring and kind, reliable and conscientious! 

Lorna is great with our child and he always has a ton of fun with her. She is very engaged with him and it seems like they are always doing some sort of activity.

Lorna was recommended to me by a good friend. She has taken care of our two boys for a few date nights. The boys loved her and look forward to having her watch them again!

Lorna has been the after school babysitter for our two young boys since October 2014, and we feel very lucky to have found her!  Each day, she picks up one or both of our sons.  She takes care of bath time, helps with homework, gives dinner to the boys, and when required gets them ready for bed.  She is dependable and has an unerring sense of what is safe and appropriate for children.  She is a safe and dependable driver with her own car, and it has been a huge relief to be able to rely on her for after school pick up.  She has quickly learned the children's routines and schedules and makes sure to ask about our family's priorities.  She is also great with kids -- she is friendly, positive, and straightforward, and both of our sons feel extremely comfortable with her.  She spends a lot of time speaking with the boys, explaining things to them, and thinks of wonderful activities for them.  She is also extremely considerate, bringing decorations to make birthdays special and remembering other special occasions.  She is flexible, responsive, and very professional.  In short, she is a wonderful babysitter and we are fortunate to have worked with Lorna!

My family lives in Canada but we spend much of our winters in Ft. Lauderdale. Lorna worked with my toddler about 5 mornings a week for several months in 2016. Our experience with her is wonderful. She is polite, professional and patient with a rambunctious, curious and energetic little person. She has a lovely sense of humor and speaks to him in a way that is both engaging and authoritative. I wish we could pack Lorna in our suitcases and take her back to Canada with us when we return. We will definitely use her next winter, if she is available at that time.  Highly recommended.

Lorna watches my daughter once a week and is absolutely wonderful! She is so patient and caring.  I highly recommend her! 

Lorna has been wonderful with our two kids over the last couple of years. She helps us out on an as needed basis still. If you're looking for someone responsible, patient and mature yet still enjoys playing games, crafts etc. she's your girl.

Lorna was outstanding! Took on our 4 young children with authority, but compassion - exactly what we were looking for - firm(ish) but friendly! Couldn't have been more happy and grateful I have a future awesome babysitter!

Lorna was great with our 5 boys! I felt very safe with leaving her in care of our children and their cousins. Our boys can be a handful all together,but she did great,especially with being in a hotel. She was even helpful in helping us figure out where to go during our vacation. 
I also really appreciate that she was willing to meet up with us a couple days beforehand just for one evening of child care.
Definitely recommend her!

We visited Florida on vacation and needed a babysitter for a few nights. Lorna was absolutely fantastic! She came early on the first night so the kids could get to know her and they absolutely loved her! In fact, they asked my husband and I to go out again just so Lorna could come over! She was very flexible with our schedule and was very punctual. Lorna even made sure we got home to the Northeast safely.  Lorna was so fantastic and the kids miss her already! We will definitely be seeing Lorna on our next trip and recommended her to our local Florida friends!

Lorna is a take charge, very creative, very comfortable lady who I would highly recommend for any family that needs care for their children or special needs adults or seniors. She has the personality for every kind of person needing care. My kids cried when she left the last day we needed her they liked her so much. They asked if she could come home with us from our vacation! I am very happy with my experience with her and if I am ever in Florida again she will be someone I call again!

I'm very happy to write a review for Lorna.  I arrived in Florida on a mini vacation and needed to find a sitter on a short notice who was willing to watch our daughter for three nights.  Upon going on the Care.com site I immediately read Lorna's write up first (and last) because of the wonderful reviews that were left.  Which made my decision very easy to contact her.  She responded the same day and also agreed to meet us that night so that my daughter could meet her as well.  She is very sweet and very upbeat and I felt very comfortable leaving our daughter in her care.  She was also a good sport when my daughter proceeded to empty out the entire contents of her purse.  We will be using her services every time we are down here.   Great match!
