I have always been a caretaker because that's how my family is. They are all caretakers in some way or another. I have 2 children of my own who are now 21 and 16 years of age. for the last few months I was tasked with being a caretaker for my mother in law. She was recovering from a stem cell transplant due to blood cancer. I took care of her everyday activities such as cooking cleaning, errands, dr appts etc. A few weeks ago my dad was diagnosed with lymphoma and I know I will be helping my mother as well with his care.
