About Londra

Currently I am volunteering at a pediatric clinic supporting speech pathologists. I participate in social group therapy with 2-4-year-old's who have speech-language disorders. I have over 100 hours of service. My experience working with children is through my internship at an elementary school providing direct services for autistic children (1st-3rd grade). I've also interned at St. Jude Centers for Rehabilitation working with Stroke and brain injury survivors with aphasia. I am very passionate about helping children or adults with their speech and language so that they may be active participants within their community by teaching functional skills that will generalize to the real world. In addition, my personal experiences of having a daughter with special needs has driven my enthusiasm for making a difference in the lives of children and adults with speech-language disorders so that they may achieve their full potential. I would be interested in shadowing a special needs child at school, working with them after school. And I would be interested in working with an older adult who has aphasia.
