The only thing I like more than science is talking to others about science! That passion has directed my entire career in informal and formal science education. I've worked at Discovery Place, the Nature Museum, the New England Aquarium, Pearson, and the Smithsonian Science Education Center. Along the way I got a Masters of Science in Teaching in Secondary Biology and am a licensed Biology teacher. My favorite part of educating others has always been seeing that last piece slide into place as a concept makes sense, and the delight and empowerment that follows. I'm no stranger to struggling with certain scientific concepts (x-ray crystallography will always be my Everest!!!) and so I know how your student feels. I hope I can help them experience that "click!" that makes science class a joy, not an obstacle.
