When I was little I couldn't wait for my 13th birthday when I would finally be old enough to babysit for the kids in the neighborhood. Throughout middle and high school, I had the opportunity to get to know many wonderful families and care for children of all ages. This excitement for working with young people has driven my career as a music teacher. Since college I have taught elementary music, children's church choir (ages 4-6), private music lessons and most recently middle school band. I am currently in my ninth year of teaching, and still find joy in helping students learn the skills that will help them be successful in music and everyday life.
