I took care of my mom for 15 years. In the beginning she was independent, so I would help with household duties. Transport to Dr. appointments, pick up medication from the pharmacy and shopping. In 2014 to 2015 my mom needed more care and I stayed home with her full time. I felt it was my turn to care and be there for her as she was for me when I was little girl. She passed away October 2015. If I had a chance to do it all over again I would do it in a heartbeat.
