I have a degree in Special Education with a minor in Art. During my time in college, I wanted to combine these majors into an Art Therapy focus but it was not available at that time. I have worked in daycare/learning centers over 15 years. My experience in both fields has enabled me to work with all age groups, infants through grade school with much creativity, organization and flexibility. I enjoy children of all ages but for the last 8 years I have been with mostly infants and toddlers. I am very comfortable with children of all ages and would provide the love, care and support that a family would welcome with open arms! In addition to children, I have taken wonderful care of an elderly grandmother and father in the past so age is not a factor for me. I also treat them with the respect and proper care too. Traveling to doctor appointments, shopping, visiting family /friends was an important part of time spent with them. Some days, it was simply chatting, having a meal or relaxing with them bringing comfort and support knowing I was there for them!
