About Lisa

I am an occupational therapist with over 30 years experience working with seniors(dementia, stroke, hip fractures/replacements, COPD, brain injuries) and children with special needs(autism, adhd, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities). As an OT my job is to help people be as independent as possible in their daily activities. I currently work full time in the school district with children with disabilities, though I am nearing retirement! I am available for caregiving on weekends, holidays, evenings, and summer weekdays. Occasional/back up care is ideal. I am outgoing, friendly, a good cook, reliable and punctual. I enjoy watching sports, cards, puzzles, crafts, games, and have the skills to adapt activities to meet client's needs. I love cooking, gardening, hiking, and travel. I am originally from Michigan, Catholic, and married with two adult sons. My oldest son is a nuclear engineering officer in the Navy and my youngest son is an ICU nurse at the Mayo Clinic.
