I have 30 yrs experience caring for people of all ages and abilities. 5+ yrs as a CNA in Portland, first working in a small facility for people w/ HIV/AIDS then onto temping at LTC Facilities. 18 years working for United Cerebral Palsy, OR w/ adults w CP & intellectual disabilities. 5+ yrs as an "Enhanced Worker" Portland, doing in-home care for Aging & Disability Services. Now certified in WA as a HCA to work in-homes. Additional interests & education include: Cosmetology, Naturopathic Dr's Assistant, Juice Bar Manager. Studying Yoga, Tai Chi & Meditation. Some massage school experience too. Strong interest in Nutrition and Whole Foods Cooking & Herbs. Joyce provided compassionate and creative care for my mother who lives in an ALF and needed supplemental cleaning, organizing and companionship. She went above and beyond when we unexpectedly had to put down my mother’s beloved companion cat and I could not travel from out of state to support. Joyce was there both logistically and as a dear support to my mom as she grieved this loss. I highly recommend Joyce.
