I'm a 56 yr old retired mom (31 & 28 yrs-both independent) looking for some extra cash & getting out. I've cared for friends & family members' kids my whole life, starting at 13. My personality is caring, funny & conscientious. I provide a calm but encouraging emotional space. I use humor, pre-teaching, distraction & modeling. I'm very experienced w/neurodivergence, ADHD, anxiety, developmental delays, physical & mental health challenges. My degree is in psychology including child development & many yrs working w/special needs. I've worked for REM Group Homes (developmentally delayed adults) & medication certified, & Alterra - memory care for seniors, where I was a member of the mgmt team. My own children (now adults) have special needs. My schedule is open/flexible so available for last minute jobs. I enjoy providing care repeatedly as it allows me to get to know your family.
