About Lisa

I have 14 years in the county school system as a kindergarten assistant. In addition, I am the Sight Director of the elementary before and after-school program. I have 96 students in the program. The two positions required me to become highly qualified. In order to do so I have completed several courses through Davidson County Community College. As a kindergarten assistant, I help to plan creative ways to educate the children, serve children in one-on-one situations such as tutoring or personal needs, organize the classroom, communicate with parents and support the teacher. The position of Site Director requires me to screen and choose staff, create a weekly work schedule, be highly involved with and know each child and their personalities and needs. Prior to working for WSFCS, I worked at a Methodist church in the preschool program for 3 years. I was the assistant director and the lead teacher. I worked with ages birth to four years. Additionally, I worked the Summer of 2012 at the children's center in Winston Salem. The center serves children with special needs, Autism, Down syndrome, birth defects and various problems.
