About Lindsey

Hello! I love working with elderly people because I have a passion about caring and helping others who need it most, and I have the most experience with helping elderly people who have had orthopedic surgeries recover. I received this experience by working for over 4 years as a physical therapy aide at a local orthopedic outpatient therapy center. Some of my tasks included assisting the elderly patients with their therapist-ordered exercises, applying modalities (ice packs, heat packs, electrical stimulation, wound care (keeping the incision site clean to prevent infection), helping the patient with their braces, and encouraging them along emotionally through the healing process. The most common surgery recoveries I dealt with on a daily basis were total knee replacements and shoulder surgeries as well as hip replacements and hand injuries. I would definitely have no problem with meal prep, grocery shopping, other errands, companion time, etc.
