I have been caring for seniors in their own homes for over 20 years. I have had a variety of cases with every kind of illness. I enjoy helping seniors to enjoy quality of life in the home where they have raised families or enjoyed retirement. I have had full responsibility of med management, transportation to Dr. appointments, physical therapy, grocery shopping and housekeeping. I have supplied companionship, meal planning and preparation and enjoyed sharing in the rich histories of the seniors I have been honored to serve. I have recently completed four years with a gentleman with advancing dementia in his own home. I enjoyed taking him out in the community for lunches, beach walks and medical appointments, food purchasing and food prep. I was able to share travel videos, news and doing puzzles to help him stay mentally engaged. I look forward to assisting you with your family need for care and will consider a live-in position with separate housing.

Our family hired Linda A during the first year of Covid to manage our 91 year old father&#39;s care.  During the past four years, Linda has provide our father with a healthy diet, handling food purchasing and prep, provided great companionship with outings and activiities inside and outside the house, and helped navigate a number of health events.  At 95 and with dementia progressing, it now makes sense to move him to round the clock care at a facility.  We are appreciative of the skilled care that Linda has provided for our father, and the fuller life he was able to experience while still being able to enjoy it.  We highly recommend Linda as a caregiver. 

It is unfortunate that an arrangement with Linda could not be fulfilled. Her current employer gave her more hours. She seemed very nice, knowledgeable, and had some great ideas. Disappointing for us.

We hired Linda and told her we could only pay every 2 weeks. She did say she wanted to be paid every week. Again I told her we could not do that maybe this was not the job for her. She said that would be fine. We hired her and on her first day told me she would like to be paid weekly. I again told her we can only pay every 2 weeks. She then started to tell me the laws about hiring contractors and how we can't ask her to wear uniforms or how we can't set hours, how she could decide her hours taking days off next week. Then told me how if we did certain things she could be considered an employee and we'd have to pay taxes and all that is required of employers. So she told me to just go talk to my husband. Again on her second shift she again brought up same subject informing of same laws. Even telling me by law I really have to pay her as soon as services are rendered like a plumber. She then told me to go talk to my husband or his brother about the pay. I felt she was threatening us with labor laws to try to get her pay weekly. I then found out she went to our other caretaker telling her they have to pay you daily, they can't ask you to wear scrubs, we can be paid weekly or else we can say we are employees. We just let her go.

This was my first time using a care provider and Linda was perfect. When I met her the first time she was very easy to talk to. Linda came and sat with my 89 year old mother in law which was nice she really liked Linda. I will definitely have come again . Very professional.

Linda was an amazing help to my family in a time of dire need. She genuinely cares about my parents and their well-being. She is a take-charge, get-things-done type of person who has a great attitude and kind heart. She is also very experienced and knowledgeable. I fully recommend her to anyone who needs someone they can rely on.

Linda is an excellent senior caregiver!  She looked after my mom (who has dementia) on several occasions and was always patient, caring and reliable.  Linda is a superb communicator and conscientious - she spoke with the other caregivers looking after my mom to be sure she knew my mom's routine before spending time alone with my mom.  She is good with animals - my mom has a small dog and Linda managed his feeding, walks, etc.  My mom enjoyed Linda's company, and I had peace of mind knowing my mom was in good hands with Linda.  I highly recommend Linda!  

It is my pleasure to write a letter of reference on behalf of Linda. She was a primary care giver for my parent from the Spring of 2009 until July 1, 2010.  My parent s ADL Care needs included:  bathing, dressing, grooming,  medications, and escort; IADL care tasks included:  meal preparation/cleanup (breakfast/lunch/dinner), and laundry.  Additional important tasks included:  taking blood glucose levels twice a day, taking blood pressure twice a day, taking weight and hydration levels, and charting the data.  In all aspects of her job duties, she performed at a consistently high level.  She established excellent rapport with my parent; quickly learned the daily and nightly care routines and completed all aspects of her work skillfully and in a very professional manner. Linda is very intelligent, communicates well with both client and family members, learns the job quickly, retains instructions well, and completes all her duties in a thorough manner.  She brings great insight and integrity into her work with the elderly.

In summary, I found her to be very easy to work with, skilled, knowledgeable, experienced, willing to take on challenging care tasks and carry them out with great success.  She is an outstanding care worker in particular, and a great human being in general.  I enjoyed working with her and would hire her again without hesitation.  In my professional life, I was a supervisor in a senior service agency, and can say quite truthfully that anyone seeking a hardworking, skilled, trustworthy person to care for their parent, will be delighted with Linda. 

Linda was referred to clients of ElderCare Resources, Inc., a geriatric care management company in Eugene, Oregon.  The clients became her employer, not ElderCare.  She worked for many of our clients for, probably over ten years, most recently in 2011.  Most of her clients were elderly, some very disabled.  She was creative, resourceful, and a tremendous advocate for her clients.  She took direction well, but was also a self-starter, and could walk into a situation without much information, and figure out what needed to be done.  With her last ElderCare clients (a married couple in assisted living) she had to deal with the husband, who had definite, but unreasonable ideas about the care his wife needed, and the wife, who was incredibly passive.  She was able to convince the husband about the services his wife really needed, while letting him believe he was still in charge.  The wife was so appreciative of the gentle care and compassion shown by Linda.   I was the Guardian and Conservator for both individuals, so saw Linda's interaction with them frequently.  She definitely improved the quality of the wife's life, and got the husband involved in some of the facility's activities.

Linda is outgoing and a happy individual. She enjoys meeting people and is very friendly, a good conversationalist and can strike up a conversation with anyone. 

      Linda was our primary care-giver for over six years for my father age 95, a stroke victim requiring 24/7 in-home care.  She led a team of 5 care-givers using our overhead lift, Hoyer lift, therapy bath,  wheelchair, and ramp van.  She scheduled care-giving, hired and fired care-givers, monitored doctor visits and medication, shopped for all groceries and supervised meal planning and preparation.
     Every team needs a leader, and Linda provided both physical and emotional leadership which has enabled my father to enjoy these past six years more than we could ever expected.
     Linda's experience with the medical community enabled her to work with doctors and nurses concerning my father's needs. Her common sense and nutrition experience has enhanced my father's life immeasurably these past years.  She trained and supervised many care-providers over these years and raised the level of care for my father that exceeded our expectations.
