About Lina

I'm a certified children's speech language pathologist and certified teacher of students with disabilities. I work in a special education school with elementary aged children full-time. I also see private clients for speech-language therapy and/or tutoring after-school hours and weekends as well. I believe the acquisition of educational skills are a step-by-step process that needs a strong foundation and just extra practice. While l would consistently practice these areas in tutoring sessions, I could also teach the child about different compensatory strategies and tricks to help them build independence in their needed area. Along this, I can provide practice activities for home and also incorporate some fun interests of the into our sessions to keep the more engaged. Because I believe that's how kids learn best!
