My special education background and training in math and phonemic awareness guide my flexible multisensory approach. As a kinesthetic learner, I use hands-on and visual strategies to tailor instruction and help students build confidence and make steady progress. Why I'm a good tutor: patient, flexible, and individualized; I adapt to each student's Skills, clear learning style and focus on both skills and confidence while maintaining clear communication and professionalism. Experience: nine years tutoring K-6 ; taught 5th grade; K-8 substitute; 5 1/2 years as a paraprofessional, supporting, diverse, academic, and behavioral needs. With children: extensive school, homeschool, and volunteer experience; strong, understanding, structure, patience, and encouragement.
