Experience: 3 yrs
My passion for supporting the well-being and independence of adults and seniors led me to caregiving. I have three years of experience providing live-in home care, transportation, and hospice services. I can also run errands, shop, manage medications, and assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation. I am experienced in dementia care, mobility assistance, and physical activities. I adapt to changing routines and de-escalate stressful situations. I am patient, friendly, and detail-oriented. I communicate with families through verbal updates, texts, or phone calls, always following their preferred method. Earning your trust is my priority when building a connection with your loved one. I also speak Tagalog and have a car for errands. Knowing I can bring comfort and support to your family brings me joy. I also have CPR Certificate
Mark was the nighttime caregiver for my dad who had dementia and passed away from it recently. We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional care provided by Mark during the night for my father. He brought a level of professionalism, kindness, and reassurance that made all the difference which enabled us to have a restful night and get to work the next day. Mark was not only a reliable and punctual presence, but also showed immense patience and a deep understanding of the unique needs of someone with dementia. We were consistently impressed by his ability to anticipate my dad's needs, whether it was a gentle word during a moment of confusion or a quiet presence to help him feel secure. When my dad would wake up bewildered, he would have to "guess" what he needed and guide him to either get more comfortable or help him to the restroom. He treated him with dignity even as restroom functions got challenging and messy and his work was meticulous. Mark would sit by his side and check in on him every hour, adjust the CPAP breathing machine, check the bed for dampness (as the disease progressed) and call to dad most softly and handle him with compassion and kindness even if my dad got aggressive (due to his confused state). Mark was with us in dad's final hours and he was a true blessing. He knew exactly how to handle end of life and we cannot recommend them highly enough to any family in need of a caregiver who goes above and beyond. He has also filled in for a few day time schedules in the weekend and his day time care is equally spot on.
