About Leah

I have about 1 year of experience as an English Language Learner Paraeducator in an elementary school. I worked with students K-5 grade who were part of the English Language Learning program and spoke Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish or any other language as their first language. I assisted students in class with the tasks assigned to them by their teacher whether it was science, writing, reading or math. Additionally, I assisted students outside of class by creating English lessons to help Ukrainian refugees learn the English language. Some of the students I worked with also attended special needs programs. Throughout the year, I assisted students with state testing and helped translate English to Russian when permitted. On the side, I volunteered at my church by providing English Language tutoring for adult Russian/Ukrainian refugees. Currently I am a mom to a little girl and am looking for jobs to get some extra income.
