As a wife of 26 years, mother of three daughters (one with special needs & medical complexities), & a middle & high school teacher for 20 years in various districts with students with a wide range of experiences & abilities, I regularly consider what my grandparents would think when making decisions. Having an adult child with special needs & medical complexities has also shaped my life in terms of learning & providing personal cares of all sorts as well has taught me immense gratitude, patience, & empathy.
