About Amber

Hi there! I have always been interested in caregiving, and it has been my main career since 2009 from caring for children to caring for seniors within their own homes or nursing/ assisted living facilities. I got my CNA certificate in 2015 and am currently still using it. I have worked in a nursing home facility for almost 5 years, in home care for almost a year, and assisted living/ memory care facility for 2 years. Within these jobs, I have carried out basic living tasks such as bathing, feeding, dressing, transferring, therapeutic exercises and provided medications as a medication aid. I also have a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant and use those skills as well within the care I provide. I am knowledgeable with dementia care by taking courses to help familiarize myself with how they see the world so I can try and relate the best I can and give the best care possible.
