About Leah

I have several years of experience working with children in both paid and volunteer settings. I started as a child swim instructor, where I taught water safety and basic swimming skills to young children in a fun, supportive environment. I then became a summer camp counselor, leading daily activities, supervising groups of children, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Eventually, I took on a leadership role as a camp manager, where I oversaw staff, coordinated schedules, and handled parent communication. These experiences taught me patience, creativity, responsibility, and how to build trust with both kids and their families. This summer, I'm working in the office at a summer camp in Peru, Massachusetts, where I assist with camper check-in, parent communication, and overall camp organization. It's given me a broader view of what it takes to support a successful camp behind the scenes while still staying connected to the campers.
