About Leah

Hello! My name is Leah and I am looking for childcare job opportunities in the Pioneer Valley this summer! I am very child-centered in my approach to childcare- I aim to meet each child where they are at and respond with care, intention, and specificity. Throughout my work with children, I have viewed building caring and supportive connections with children as one of the most important parts of my work. I have experience working with children as a dance teacher, summer camp assistant director, after school volunteer tutor (in reading and math), and corps member of the Jumpstart program providing early literacy and social-emotional development at a preschool program partner. In my work with children, I love working creatively! I enjoy designing and facilitating open-ended visual arts projects that allow for children to creatively respond and uniquely express themselves. I am trained in adult and pediatric first aid, CPR, AED, medication administration, and concussion intervention.
