About Leah

My name is Leah and I am seeking full time nannying opportunities in New York this summer! I have over five years of experience working with children as a nanny, babysitter, camp assistant director, dance teacher, tutor, and preschool literacy educator. I am very child-centered in my approach to nannying - I aim to meet each child where they are at and respond with care, intention, and specificity. I believe that the care-centered relationships I build with children are the most important aspect of my work. I recognize the significance of a nanny's role in children's lives, and work to provide consistent care, emotional support, and compassionate behavioral management which is attuned to each family's values and culture. I specialize in art projects and creative play activities with children that support literacy and open up a space for self-expression and connection. I have strong organizational, communication, and first aid skills.
