Hello Families! I am looking for temporary or occasional sitter positions! I have 10 years of experience in childcare with kiddos ages six months to 16 years! I have worked in daycares, school settings, overnight camps, and of course in babysitting. When working with kids, I absolutely love to get outside no matter the weather or create arts and crafts. I believe in following the creative lead of the child and will always jump into the imaginary worlds they choose to create! A little bit about me: In May of 2024, I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with degrees in Public Health and Sociology. After college I began working as an Outreach and Engagement Specialist for a Community Health Center here in New York City; my position was temporary, so I am now looking to babysit while I am on the job hunt. I worked with Leah for multiple summers as a camp counselor, including for a short period of time as her supervisor. She is responsible, thoughtful, engaging, and fun. She has ample experience working with kids and is very dependable. She knows many age-appropriate activities to engage kids of varying ages and loves to come up with unique ways to play. She is funny and knows how to meet kids where they are, making them laugh and enjoy themselves no matter their age. In an emergency, Leah keeps a cool head and does the responsible thing. I truly cannot recommend her enough, she is wonderful with kids.
