About Leah

I am an experienced science educator with more than 10 years of classroom teaching and instructional leadership experience. I hold a graduate degree and specialize in science and study skills for middle and high school students. I help students understand what they are learning rather than simply memorize information. I enjoy connecting science concepts to real-world examples and students' own interests, making challenging material feel more approachable and relevant. I also help students break larger assignments into manageable steps while strengthening organization, study habits, and confidence. Every student learns differently, so I tailor sessions to their needs, coursework, and goals. I value open communication with students and parents and aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and becoming more independent learners.
