About Leah

Hello! My name is Leah. I am a full time teacher with MPS as a 2nd grade classroom teacher. Previously, I taught 4th and 5th grade, and before that, I was an English Language Teacher (K, 2nd, and 5th grades) for multilingual learners. I have been caring for children since what feels like forever! My first babysitting job was when I was in middle school and I have continued since then, including through college, and well into my adult life. Lately I have been enjoying spending time with the littlest ones (babies and toddlers) because it is a great change of pace from my elementary kiddos. I also love animals and am very comfortable caring for other peoples' pets. In addition to babysitting, have done a lot of petsitting as well. I love spending time with kids and am always up for playing games, reading, doing arts and crafts, and being outdoors. I think working with children is the most rewarding of jobs.
