About Layne

Hello! My name is Layne and I am a teacher looking for a little summer work! I currently work at Rainbow Community School in Asheville, NC as a K-8 floating substitute and one on one support. Being around children is my passion, especially when I am helping them expand their horizons and grow into accomplished learners. In my time as an educator, I have worked with grades Kindergarten through twelfth, and have experience working with and relating with each grade in special ways. I specialize in working with students in the LGBT+ community as I myself am nonbinary. Please be aware of this and be prepared to use they/them pronouns for me if you decide to recruit me. I have experience working with students with nonnormative identities and who identify as neurodivergent (ADHD, autistic, etc.) I can also work comfortably with little ones and students of all identities and neurotypes.
