I've been caring for seniors since I was very young. Some of my earliest and fondest memories are of being directly involved in the care of my aging grandparents and family members. Professionally, I have worked for over 10 yrs. as a private duty Home Health and Hospice caregiver. It is truly a fulfilling labor of love to serve those in need. My experience includes diabetes, cancer, incontinence, stroke, dementia, and other age related issues. I strive to help seniors maintain dignity while assisting with life necessities : ADL's Bathing. Dressing Toileting. Transferring Feeding. DIET/MENU -maintain healthy meals/snacks with careful consideration given to personal tastes and dietary restrictions. SCHEDULE MANAGEMENT -balance calendar so that there are no missed Dr or therapy appointments. I assist with desired activity. This may include outings with friends or family, church/temple visits, or just a stroll around the neighborhood. Aging doesn't have to be boring!
