Hi, I'm Lauris! I am a former middle grades English teacher who loves empowering students to reach their full potential. With three years of experience supporting elementary and middle school learners, I focus on creating a patient, engaging environment tailored to how your child learns best. I figure out a student's learning style through communication and active observation, adapting my methods so concepts really click. When subjects feel challenging, I break them down into manageable steps and connect them to your child's personal interests to build up their confidence. Open communication with your family is essential to how we work together. My absolute favorite part of teaching is watching a student gain the confidence to lead, much like a shy reader I once mentored who transformed into a peer tutor!
