I am Trustline Certified (which includes extensive bkgrd check & fingerprints). Originally from No. CA (Marin/SF Bay Area), I relocated to Maui 5 yrs ago. I have many, MANY years of experience caring for children. 

I nanny for both local families, as well as provide care for visiting families. I have been a nanny for the past 2+ decades while raising my (now grown) son, so I am also a mom.

I prefer to keep kids active & engaged, (little to minimum screen time, whenever possible), and love getting outside to explore nature, as well as creating art/crafts, music, having dance parties, building forts, board & card games, reading stories, imaginative play & local adventures. 

My goal is to create a nurturing, dependable & joyful environment where children can thrive and parents can feel confident that their little ones are in caring, capable hands.

Would definitely consider using Laurin again for child care. We were on the island for vacation and wanted a sitter for a lunch date and Laurin was able to be there on time and drove an hour away for us. We appreciate it!

Laurin was a godsend during our vacation in Maui! Our family visited for 10 days, she was there just about everyday for either dinners out, or other activities my husband & I did daytimes.

She was fantastic with our 3 kids, they had so much fun! She took them to the pool, played games, read stories, took care of everything we asked, even made the bedtime routine go smoothly.

She is not only professional & punctual, but was also very in tune with our kids needs.

Laurin had to cancel on us 3 days in a row. It seemed she had a legitimate excuse initially but I gave her an out for the other days and she didn't cancel until an hour before. I felt her communication terrible and it left us scrambling. I never met her in person but I wish we'd just initially hired someone else.

I reached out via phone, text and care.com to confirm appt day before, she didn’t respond for 12 hours until after I was asleep. I Needed a sitter for 3 kids, 2 got sick leaving 1 baby needing care. Refused to change rate, fine, as long as you take care of my baby. She didn’t follow our requests and put him down an hour early, left all the lights on in his room while he slept and when I checked in on them he was just hysterically crying while she stood there. Idk. I didn’t enjoy this experience.

Laurin was great! She updated us with photos and followed all our requests. My son is non-speaking and autistic and they had a blast. Highly recommend Laurin!! 

Laurin has been wonderful with our 5 month old son. She’s very kind, patient, and attentive, and it’s clear she truly cares for him. She engages with him, keeps him happy, and we always feel at ease knowing he’s in her care. We highly recommend her!

Laurin was a fantastic babysitter! We were visiting on vacation and wanted to take a few hours to ourselves, and were looking to find the perfect, trustworthy, experienced person to watch our 1 year old son. We found Laurin and based on her past glowing reviews reached out to her about availability. She is extremely experienced taking care of kids of all ages and has a very impressive background and references. She’s honest, kind, dedicated, trustworthy, and overall would highly recommend her! We were nervous about leaving our little baby with a stranger, but right away upon meeting him Lauren did an amazing job connecting with him and engaging him and he was delighted to be with her from the start! She quickly picked up his routine (feeding, bedtime, playtime, etc) and texted us photos and updates throughout the first sit to ensure us that things were going smoothly. She arrived promptly and was quick to communicate throughout both sits. I would highly recommend Laurin as a sitter!

Laurin was amazing! We had her babysit our 4 year old daughter when we were on vacation and she was fantastic. She took incredible care of her while we enjoyed a night out. The moment we met her we knew our daughter was in great hands. Highly recommend Laurin and we will definitely use her again for babysitting the next time we're in Maui! 

Laurin is a wonderful caregiver! She was very quick to respond, was flexible with scheduling. I needed help with after school pickup with my 11 yo. She call to get clarity on the job, and even came prior to meet my daughter so she would be comfortable. She's warm, friendly and showed my 11yo her car and we talked through what pickup would be like. She picked my daughter up most school days in September! She was flexible with the school schedule and my daughter feels very comfortable with her! 

Laurin is wonderful! I love that she plays  with our daughter and they have a great time together! 

Laurin is always there when we need her and our son absolutely loves her. He says she plays the best games and reads the best books! We will continue to call her when needed and I would highly recommend hiring Laurin.

Laurin was amazing with my 3 kids. She played with them and cooked for them, my kids enjoy her company very much. She is VERY reliable and glad we found her. 

Nanny Lauren brings years of expertise in caring for young children to the caregiver arena. She has old fashion values yet displays and encourages forward thinking when caring for our children. She fosters creative and positive thinking in all aspects of day to day activities. Sweet nature and a loving kind heart. Environmental play was a fantastic  introductory way to teach little ones how to relate to all creatures big and small. I always felt confident Lauren had the best interest for my babies when they were in her care. 

Laurin is a caring  and attentive caregiver who always goes the extra mile.  

Laurin has been watching my kids after school for almost 5 months now. She is extremely dependable and has great communication. My kids love her and look forward to spending time with her. She is very present with my kids and I really appreciate that. I also appreciate that she helps tidy up! Highly recommend! 

We have had Laurin watch our 4 and 6 year old girls and she has been amazing! She does a great job keeping them entertained with activities and games. Our kids love her and we feel grateful to have her here on Maui. 

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Laurin as our babysitter. She demonstrated remarkable creativity and engagement by building a fort and playing numerous games with our daughter, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Not only was Lauren punctual, but she also took the initiative to prepare dinner for our daughter, adding a comforting touch to her overall care. We look forward to having her babysit again.

Punctual, professional and fabulous with the kids. Our boys love having Laurin come and ask repeatedly if she’ll be coming over to play. We are so glad that they are excited to have her come. A huge bonus (and we can’t figure out how she pulls it off) is the place is always spotless when we return. 

Didn’t end up working with Laurin due to a schedule conflict. But she put us in touch with a reference and has been a great help for us. Very understanding. Thank Laurin!
