As an artist, I always try to encourage creativity as it makes everyone feel good about themselves no matter their age. I did just have neck surgery so I am limited a bit in too much physical lifting for a while. I hold a BA in Art, have excellent references, and I am a non-smoker.

I seriously can't think of enough good things to say about Laurie! I live out of state, and she's been my Mom's helper for some time now. Anything that's needed for Mom's care, Laurie is right there. She assists with making up her pill organizers, with support while Mom does a diabetic injection, with shopping and transportation and things around the apartment whenever necessary. If any problem arises, she's willing to make an emergency unscheduled visit. Laurie has made so many insightful observations on Mom's condition that have assisted me in managing her health care long-distance! She has just been a Godsend to us. My Mom at times is not an easy person to deal with in terms of her temper, which has gotten worse with cognitive and physical decline -- yet the amount of patience and kindness Laurie has demonstrated in working with her just amazes me. She truly cares about Mom as a person. It's more than a job to her. I'm just so grateful we found her to be Mom's helper!
