Lauriene was God-sent to our family. After suffering shocking news that I could not care by myself for my infant son, my husband and I relied on the help of two nannies for seven days a week care of our son. Lauriene was recommended by our first nanny who was a colleague of hers and the two worked as a team to care for V. for six months. After six months, the first nanny left to begin a new life in NC and Lauriene committed herself to take care of our son as his seven day a week nanny for two years until we moved to CA. She worked with me to get better so I could begin taking care of my son. Though being in a very medically difficult situation, Lauriene brought joy, laughter, fun and optimism into our home. She sang with my son, taught him to eat solid foods, bathed him, taught him to ride an escalator and just enjoy life! From her, we learned to be joyous parents who take one day at a time and to find joy in each day. We are still very close to Lauriene.
