I have worked with children ages 2-6 years of age for over 30 years. In California, I taught in private preschools for over 10 years, and was a Director for a private school. In 2016 I was a nanny for a wonderful family in Portland, OR. Two children ages 5 and 7. I have over 40 units in Early childhood Education. I love to instill the joy of learning in children in fun and creative ways. Children learn through experiences, reading, dramatic play, cooking, arts and crafts, outdoor games and play. Hands on Science . Current - Central Background Registry and fingerprinted. I am first aide and CPR certified. Current with vaccinations and TB shot (needed working in a licensed facility) Willing to show all credentials, certifications and my full background check (live scan).

Laurie is a wonderful nanny! She is well loved by both our kids and is a caring, thoughtful, creative, and kind and wonderful person. We have two kids and our son is on the spectrum and she was able to make a special connection with him and our daughter - which was gold! She always went the extra mile in planning activities for the kids and helping us out around the house, she is very well educated in child care and is always learning more. She is thoughtful, communicative, friendly, kind - just wonderful. We miss Laurie, but California drew her back! :-)
