About Lauren

Hi, I'm Lauren! I'm currently a junior at Western Washington University where I'm planning on receiving a degree in Early Childhood Education so I can work towards my dream of being a preschool or kindergarten teacher. Last summer, I was a camp counselor at an adaptive day camp provided by the city of Bellevue to families with children and young adults who have intellectual disabilities ages 4-21. I've also been fortunate enough to have worked after school as a teacher's helper at Cedar Crest Academy in Kirkland, WA where I have been responsible for taking care of, entertaining, and teaching children between the ages of 2-5. I have babysat for many families through the years as I started when I was only 10 (with parental help until about 14). I've watched kids who were between the ages of 1-10 where I've been responsible for bath time, bedtime, meals, supervision, and of course, kept the kids happy and busy as well.
