About Lauren

Experience: 8 yrs

I am a college-educated, highly professional nanny with 8+ years experience working with children from 2 months up to 5 years old. My caregiving is rooted in compassionate and engaging guidance while respecting the child and nurturing their innate curiosities, which is highly informed by my 2 years as an assistant Montessori primary teacher. I have dynamic knowledge of early child development and have navigated the gamut of baby-toddler challenges and needs. I'm well-practiced in maintaining a consistent rhythm each day to meet a child's developmental requirements, as well as inviting activities that are highly engaging. I'm also skilled at handling breastmilk/newborn feeding and care, transitioning babies to solid foods, and guiding social-emotional development throughout the baby-toddler years. I will offer compassionate, attentive, and engaging care to your child and it's important for me to establish transparent, collaborative, and lasting relationships with families.

Lauren is such a wonderful, special person and took amazing care of my son, Arlo. Lauren helped our family while I was transitioning back to work from maternity leave until my son could start daycare. She is a very kind, loving and patient nanny, and helped instill a love of nature and curiosity in my son. She started with us as I was starting to introduce foods (which terrified me!), but she was very knowledgeable about starting solids and baby lead weaning, and helped my son become a great eater. She is also very knowledgeable about Montessori teachings and early childhood development. She kept all of my sons toys clean and sterilized and helped out with his laundry. She was also a very kind friend to me as I was learning how to transition to becoming a new mom and a working mom, and balancing it all. She helped our family immensely and I am so grateful that she was a part of our lives.
