Hello! My name is Lauren, living with my fiance and son in Warwick. I have worked professionally with children all of my life, beginning with art classes, continuing to a full time preschool lead, and finally as an RBT for children with autism. Now, I'm taking steps towards opening my own home day care. My goal is to provide a child led learning environment which incorperates my ideals. A huge benefit of my background is that I am up to date on CPR, First Aide, safety care, AED, and Rhode Island early developmental standards. As a mom myself, I understand you want a person who proves their trustworthiness, not just speaks about it. I believe in communicating respectfully with children; making expectations easy to follow, using affirmative language, and reinforcing positive behaviors with encouragement and warmth. I pride myself on my clean and safe home. We are trying to connect with the "right" family as I transition from working outside of my home to welcoming families into it.

“Lauren is my forever employee at our nonprofit art studio. I fully believe, as I watched it happen, that Lauren her found her love of working with children, here at our studio. She is warm, energetic, organized, and just fun to be around. She First developed and then ran our studios’ half day camp for children 3-6 years old for four years. She also taught mommy and me classes to great success. All of our work is hands on and Lauren is really great at jumping in and making things fun for the children. Every child, literally, asked whether,“Miss Lauren could either babysit, or ‘come over for a playdate’”. I would hire her again in a heartbeat if she moved closer. Watching her with the kids she did sit for, was amazing, as she would incorporate her skills as a professional artist and face painter, into the childrens time with her, bringing along special supplies. But probably most impressive, is her ability to downscale outbursts and sibling rivalries with kindness and calmness. I’d say that’s her super power.
