About Lauren

I grew up K-8 taking advanced classes, GT, and competing in UIL academics each year, and took all pre-AP and AP courses in H. S. Tutoring peers was a regular part of many of these, and I volunteered for tutoring peers and younger grades as well. For many years, I planned to become a teacher. In college, I worked for Mad Science, an after-school science program teaching K-5, and volunteered as a Math & Science Teacher in a very similar program at my college called Project S. E. E. E. I've been a summer Nanny/teacher for K & 2nd grade girls and taught a pre-K girl to read and do math. 2016-18 I was a General Manager of Planet Fitness for 2 years, in charge of training and developing all club staff, while also being the head management trainer for all HOU clubs (14). I also developed all training manuals for the franchise. In 2019, I helped 1st and 2nd graders with homework in an after-school program at Southampton Montessori. I'm currently in grad school studying Occupational Therapy.
