About Lauren

I went to school to become an Elementary School teacher. My undergraduate degree is in English, with a minor in Fine Arts-Studio Art. My graduate degree is in Elementary Education I have been working in the Fairfield Public School system for three years as a building substitute, CLC substitute paraprofessional and preschool paraprofessional. As a building substitute I have spent time working one-on-one and in small groups with students of all ages, learning styles and background. Providing that extra support makes all the difference in a student's learning career. Nothing is more rewarding than watching a student's face light up when they accomplish their goals. That is why I do what I do, that is why I want to continue to work with students outside a school setting and help them not only develop an understanding of material but build their self-confidence as well.
