I've found great joy and satisfaction in helping others learn for as long as I can remember. Finding ways of explaining things to help people build connections and understanding is one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. While earning my degree in engineering, I worked as a tutor and TA, all in math, physics, and engineering classes. I have worked numerous years as a substitute teacher, which I found enjoyable but now desire to have a more meaningful and lasting impact on my students. As well as tutoring, I'm working towards becoming a flight instructor, another role in which I'll be helping people to learn, hoping to do both. Aside from flying and teaching, I enjoy swing dancing, working on my classic Volkswagen Beetle, and playing with my pet guinea pigs.
