About Laurel

Hi! My name is Laurel and I enjoy working with children of all ages. I have 10 years of professional experience working with children and families including as a camp counselor, farm to school teacher, and a classroom teacher at an early education center, leading classroom care for ages 0-4. I also have several years experience providing in-home childcare for families with infants, toddlers and adolescent kids. I am currently in graduate school to be a Speech and Language Pathologist. I just finished my first year of graduate school and I recently renewed my CPR and First Aid certified through my program. I pride myself on being patient, calm, and creative when working with children. I follow parents' preferred communication methods. I'm comfortable with pets and grew up with several dogs, cats, and a rabbit. In my free time I enjoy adventuring outdoors, playing board games, baking, and ceramics. I look forward to bringing my experience and enthusiasm to your family!
