About Laura

Hello, My name is Laura. I'm 45 years old. I have an associates degree in Deaf Studies /American Sign Language and a bachelors degree in Speech Language Pathology. I have worked as a classroom aide in various classrooms with students who have different disabilities and learning levels. I worked with pre-k through 5th and helped in all areas of academia, as well as with language learning. Recently, I was a speech therapist at a high school within CCSD. I had surgery in 2025 and decided not to go back to work full time this school year. As a speech therapist at the high school level, I worked with a few students on their speech sounds, but my primary focus for most of my caseload was language.
