About Laura

I started working with kids when I was in high school, tutoring in English Language Arts subjects for children with dyslexia and also teaching Chinese (in both Mandarin and Cantonese). I enjoy working with kids because I love seeing their personalities shine and being part of their growth and development. Children bring so much curiosity, creativity, and joy! It is rewarding to help them learn new things, build confidence, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Whether we're playing games, reading stories, or helping with homework, I value creating positive experiences that both children and parents can feel good about. I'd describe my personality as highly organized, compassionate, and engaging. In my spare time, I like to practice yoga, practice arts and crafts, and do social justice work in the community.
