My focus is on play-based learning and creating teachable moments from everyday interactions. For 30 years, I've worked with children as a teacher, after-school program director, parent engagement coordinator and now, as a nanny. Laura was with our Portland, OR family for 2.5 years, and I would absolutely recommend her for other families. She cared for our children 35-40 hrs a week and left a positive impression on our 2 girls. Laura is very qualified to work with children. It is very apparent she enjoys working with children, and the kiddos LOVE having her around. While in our home, she demonstrated tremendous responsibility in taking care of our children and in keeping the house in working order. She is kind, trustworthy and great with children. She was always on time, and willing to work with our busy schedule. It is clear that working as a nanny is a passion for Laura. She always had creative ideas for activities (yoga, nature adventures, painting etc.) and my kids still talk about the princess music (aka classical music) she shared with them. She keeps the children occupied, engaged and most importantly, safe. My husband and I miss her just as much as our children miss her!
