About Laura

Hi my name is Laura! I am a 26-year-old pre-k teacher looking to babysit on the side. I've been working as a lead pre-k teacher since January 2022. I am trained in early education skills such as phonics, addition and subtraction, and reading. If whether your kids are looking for a little homework help or just to have fun while you're on a date night, I'd be happy to help! I'd describe my personality as upbeat, quirky, and patient I like working with kids because everyday is brand new. Kids like to keep you on your toes, and there's hardly ever a dull moment. I love talking to children and appreciating the world from their perspective. I started working with kids when I was in high school. I use to watch a family of two little girls over the summer. When I moved away to college, I started working as a summer camp counselor at Cornell! In my spare time, I like to read books and craft. I'm a major anime nerd so I spend a great deal of time sewing cosplays.
