I have been working as a private home care aide for 15 years. I have worked in a variety of environments for example, I have worked as a traveling certified home health aide and a direct care aid in the community homes for the mentally and physically disabled and private home care. I have experience working with a variety of needs: stroke that has caused limited mobility, ALS and MS, dementia, cancer and Parkinson. I have worked with adaptive equipment ie: hoyers, wheelchairs (manual and motorized) depending on the needs of the client in each of the varying settings. I have taken some college courses for nursing and respiratory care.
