About Laura

Taking care of my mom when she was diagnosed with Parkinson's is what motivated and led me to become a caregiver. Since she passed I have had a desire to continue working with older adults assisting in any way I can. About a year ago I began driving for an ambulance service transporting patients from the hospital to their homes. I am patient, friendly, and detail-oriented. I prioritize understanding a care recipient's preferences and personal history to build a strong connection. I adapt to changing routines, de-escalate stressful situations, and handle confusion with compassion. I am able to provide transportation, run errands, assist with personal care, perform light housekeeping, prepare meals, and offer mobility assistance. I am also certified in CPR and First Aid. I always follow the family's preferred communication method. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I'm eager to use my skills to provide the best care for your loved one.
