For the first 20 years of my career I started working for Hospitals such as Rush & Adventist Hospital to then venturing on to using my skills for Senior Care and Companionship for the past 10 years. Laura helped me transition my ex-husband from a lengthy hospital stay to more daily individual care over a number of weeks and we could not have done this without her. We hired Laura M. to take care of my 96 year old mother overnight at the Rehab Center back in January 2023. We then moved my mother back home with the help of Laura, who continued to take care of my mother overnight. My mother is 96, Spanish speaking, has dementia, and deals with chronic pain from a fall/fracture as well as arthritis. Laura treats her with so much patience, kindness, and interest. My mother did not want a non-family caregiver but she quickly accepted Laura due to the great care she provides. Our family feels very blessed that she is the one taking care of my mother when we can't be there. She is friendly, dependable, responsible, trust worthy, communicates well and in a timely manner with any concerns about my mother's heath/comfort, super smart on all things related to senior care and truly caring and interested in my mother. Laura, was absolutely amazing in the care of my late mother. In the months leading to her passing, Laura treated her with such compassion, kindness and dignity. She was punctual in all aspects  arriving on time, handling medication, log ins, sticking to bathing and feeding schedule , transporting my mother to her doctors appointments. 
On holidays without ask she'd ask to come in that way I can too spend time with my family. 
Without a doubt she's an outstanding caregiver and trustworthy,  She is well experienced with great credentials behind her.  I would recommend to anyone in search of care for their loved one.

Laura was hired (Jan 2023-May 2023) to help care for our elderly mother who has Dementia/Alzheimer's to help home with light cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, light cooking, reheating food, taking medicine and prompt with grooming. The laundry was barely done because she couldn't figure out how to use the laundry card/app. She would forget to charge our mom's cell phone after being told numerous times, pill management was somewhat done, told to make or buy healthy food options. When Laura would take our mom out to lunch the food choices were not very healthy after she was told the neurologist recommended a healthy diet.
 
We had to remind her on what her start time was since her time management was lacking. This was extremely important due to our mom's condition as routine is key. She was late a lot due to doctor's appointments, that we weren't aware of at times (some were on the same day) and car issues. I know things happen and were pretty flexible but she was only working 3 days a week for 4 hours. We thought we were extremely flexible in regards to that and very fair with her as we would pay her time and half on holidays.
 
We have always been very transparent with her in regards to our mother going to a memory care at some point but would give her at least 30 - 45 days notice once the moment came. Yet when we had our mom evaluated for a facility that same weekend Laura texted us that due to her health she was no longer going to care for our mom plus she had to change her work hours starting the next day which then she was late on arriving and only gave us about 2-3 weeks notice to find another caretaker.
Well, that same week our mother hit her head so we told Laura to take her to an urgent care facility that was 10-15 minutes from our home and after an hour we asked her if there was an update to find out for some reason she thought the urgent care appointment was in Palatine. Laura blamed her car navigation for making this mistake even though she was provided with the address. I arrived at mom's home right after Laura left and noticed that Laura, did not clean the wound since there was dry blood in my mom's hair and skin.  According to Laura's experience this is something she had experience so not sure why did was not done when she had arrived at 10am.
 
At that point, we had already started to fast track our mom to the memory care facility since Laura said her last day is 3 weeks but to our surprise on Sunday, the day before Memorial day at about 8:30pm we received a text from her saying that she resigned so not to expect her to come in on Monday since her last day was Friday. Such a lack of professionalism, to know this on Friday but yet tells us the night before. Didn't even offer a replacement and we had to scramble to figure out what to do the next coming weeks. She does not possess a good work ethic due to her lack of holding herself accountable for her actions, did not have good time management, could not think independently and did not follow a lot of the directives given.
Due to all of these events, I would strongly not recommend her to anyone that is looking for any type of care.

I've had Laura helping me shower for a couple of months now. She is very nice and helpful. She has a way of making me feel safe. I'm very lucky to have found such wonderful care

We hired Laura and she told us that she could not start the day we planned because she had a doctor's appointment.  Then the next day, when she was supposed to start, she texted us two hours before she was coming in that she was not coming in indefinitely because her daughter was sick.  So, Laura never worked for us.

My sister and I hired Laura on the spot after meeting her.  She helped us with overnight care for our mom for 5 weeks, who was in hospice with throat cancer.  She was incredible kind, caring, gentle and knowledgeable.  She knew how to handle feeding tubes, dressing changes, administering medication.  We just depended on her so much as she immediately proved to be punctual, reliable and a wonderful caregiver.  She always gave us a written note about how our mom did overnight. I highly recommend her.
