About Laura

With over 10 years' experience helping middle school, high school, college, and nontraditional students succeed, I specialize in strategic, results-driven instruction and executive functioning support. I've taught in diverse settings: as a TA at Cornell University (Nutrition, Evolutionary Genetics, Intro to Business), in the Cornell Prison Education Program (Physics, Statistics, African American Poetry, Business Law), as a full-day Zoom instructor during COVID, at a community college tutoring center, as a private SAT tutor, and most recently as an Academic Tutor at an adolescent treatment center for boys ages 13-20. Skilled in breaking down complex topics, creating personalized learning plans, and translating IEPs and neuropsych assessments into actionable supports, I collaborate with educators and families to foster both academic mastery and personal growth. I meet students where they are, helping them build confidence, organization, and lasting success.
