Hi! I'm Laura! I am very passionate about kiddos and have spent the past decade working with children, teens, young adults, and families in various mental health agencies in Asheville. I recently graduated with my masters in Mental Health Counseling and currently work as an outpatient therapist at MAHEC. I am available to offer weekend help or the occasional weeknight support (after 5pm). I am CPR/first-aid certified and have also been trained in Triple P parenting and TCI (therapeutic crisis intervention). I have a deep love for the creative/expressive arts, being in the woods, making and eating delicious things and really just trying to immerse myself in spaces that help me to remain a kind, open, curious human. Laura was great with my 3 year old and 11 month old. We hired her on super short notice, and she was incredibly flexible and communicative. Very professional, but also very warm with the kids. They were comfortable with her immediately. We were staying at a rental that didn't quite have all the accommodations usually needed for little ones, but Laura was able to work with was available to keep the kids well-cared for. Wish we lived closer so she could care for our kids again!
