About Laura

I'm Dr. C. a compassionate and experienced English Teacher with a doctorate in Special Education, a minor in Spanish and a degree in history. I have 17 years of classroom experience teaching reading, writing and literature. While I have taught honors and College Prep, I have special skills for students with ADHD, autism, and diverse learning needs. I specialize in tutoring for K-12 and adult. I hold a K-12 certificate in special education and offer early literacy skills to my students. I focus on MLL, early literacy, reading, writing, math, history, Spanish, and PSAT/SAT prep. I am an IEP advocate. I can help you navigate your students upcoming IEP. I excel in social emotional learning and culturally responsive teaching. That just means I'm here to support the whole child.
