Hello! I am a certified special education teacher and Special Education Department Chair. I have a masters degree is Special Education with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have 13 years teaching experience working with middle school special education students including students with cognitive delays, intellectual disabilities, Autism, CP, and Emotional Disabilities. I have worked with students on life skills, community skills, communication skills, social communication skills, as well as academics. Throughout my career I have gained experience with toileting, AAC devices, ambulatory services, and minor transfers. I have also had experience working with elementary school students, high school students, and young adults. I often foster dogs and I have my own so I am no stranger to animals.
