Hi! My name is Laura, I'm 25 and from Colombia. I've been working as an au pair in the U. S. for the past two years, caring for a toddler and her baby sister. I've supported them through important milestones-from crib to bed, diapers to potty training, and encouraging both language and emotional development. With the baby, I've been there since infancy-feeding, singing, and nurturing her growth with love and care. Spanish is my native language, and while the toddler isn't fully fluent, she has developed a strong understanding of Spanish. I've been proud to support her language journey along the way. I'm available to start around September 8th, but I'm flexible to begin a couple of weeks earlier or later. I'm fully vaccinated, CPR certified, and happy to provide references. I truly love working with babies and toddlers, and would be excited to join a loving and communicative family. Looking forward to connecting! - Laura
She is simply amazing! She took care of our 3 year old full time from the time she was about 2.25- 3.25 and then transitioned to taking care of our newborn for the baby’s first year of life full time, sometimes taking care of both at the same time. She is smart, caring, organized, responsible, and fun. Both of our girls adore her and I trust her completely. She was in charge of meals, bottles, bath time, potty training, activities, naps, and child laundry and cleaning. Not only did she do everything I asked, she also thought of new activities and fun outings and classes for the girls and had ideas on schedules and ways to encourage less tantrums and more independence. She arranged play dates and social activities, took our older girl on public transportation to dance, music, swimming, and other activities as well as the zoo, aquarium, exploratorium and other city outings. She has a background in teaching and taught my 3 year old Spanish by using a combination of immersion and teaching her what different words meant. When my daughter started Spanish immersion preschool she was totally prepared (even though we are not a Spanish speaking family) and she tested fluent on the test. She lives with us and is a joy to have around. I can’t recommend her highly enough! We will miss her greatly but are excited for her to find her next family.
